Position Title:   ALTO Assurance Director of IT & Systems

Position Summary:   Design, Execute and manage IT Development Solutions and remote staff are aligned to the latest frameworks assuring proper standards of quality, innovation, and robustness required for the Alto IT Platform.

Professional Attributes: 


  • Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineer or Similar
  • Post Graduate Education Recommended but not Required


  • Previous Experience in Workflow or Data Base Platforms
  • Knowledge in Front & Back end Database Technologies
  • Minimum 5 years of Experience in Code Development


  • Ruby on Rails
  • Angular 2, Angular 4 Recommended
  • MySQL, PostGRE or Similar


  • English (required native fluency)
  • Spanish (required native fluency)

Scope of Responsibilities:   This position will help drive ALTO Assurance initiatives

  • Lead IT Developers/Analysts in the definition and development of Alto US Assurance IT Platform
  • Support Assurance IT Operation to ensure operational wellbeing of IT Platform
  • Contribute in Assurance Product Road Map for future Developments.
  • Set Technologies, Frameworks and other Technical Definitions for IT
  • Work with Director of Supply Chain Support on daily basis

Ancillary support:

  • Assist Global Team via recommending enhancements to current Methodologies and Center of Excellence Practices.
  • Ensure Alto US Assurance IT milestones are well documented and aligned with Global team project management and Administration
  • Coordinate Synergistic opportunities amongst other country IT leads within Grupo ALTO organization.

Reporting Structure and Team:

  • Position reports direct to the CIO with a dotted line to the ALTO Assurance business owner

Place of Employment:        New Jersey Area

Work Conditions:  

  • Some travel / Client onsite required

Position Title:  ALTO Legal Assistant

Position Summary:   The successful legal assistant candidate will contribute to the continued success of the ALTO Alliance program, through providing direct assistance to the Sr. Paralegal. The candidate will need to coordinate legal cases within the company’s platform, complete case research regarding the defendant’s current and prior offenses, conduct court house visits to obtain pertinent case information, complete evidence collection requests, and update case statuses on a weekly basis.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars, meeting deadlines, documenting actions inputting information into the ALTO platform.
  • Assists Sr. Paralegal with keeping the clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
  • Supports case research by preparing case summaries and materials, including all relevant discovery and evidence for Sr. Paralegal’s review.
  • Review retail shoplifter case reports, and included written, photographic, and video evidence, to ensure it meets standards for criminal prosecution.
  • Serves as the liaison between retailers, law enforcement & prosecutors for evidence collection support.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system in Los Angeles, including the District and City Attorney’s Office.
  • Strong knowledge of the criminal court system within the Los Angeles Superior Court: case summaries, docket retrieval, case review, file requests.
  • Extensive research of LASD inmate locator, LexisNexis, and WestLaw.
  • Understanding of legal procedures, extensive research skills, legal administration skills, client relationship building, organization and care of details, planning, dependability, and client confidentiality.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, frequent change of environment.
  • Ability to work directly with Sr. Paralegal on collaborative projects and assignments.
  • Team player

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • At least three to five years prior experience as a legal secretary or assistant within a police department, prosecutorial agency; Office of the Public Defender, Alternate Public Defender, County Counsel, Probation, or courts; or equivalent service within the private sector.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high change work environment.
  • Strong computer skills to include, but not limited to Adobe Acrobat Professional, or PowerPDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Reporting Structure and Team:

  • Position will have direct report to the Sr. Paralegal and indirect reporting to the Regional Director of ALTO Alliance Operations.
  • ALTO’s organization and culture is flat, team-oriented and entrepreneurial, with little regard to exact titles or position.

Place of Employment:    Los Angeles, California. Applicant must be willing to work in  any part of the county of Los Angeles and travel to surrounding counties as needed.

License:  A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to perform job-related essential functions.
