ALTO Scores Big at NRF PROTECT 2017
The results are in and the feedback scores were fantastic for ALTO as part of the team that brought expertise and thought leadership to the breakout session “Mitigating Risk Within Your Supply Chain” at NRF Protect 2017.
ALTO’s Maurizio Scrofani, vice president of supply chain security and intelligence for ALTO, US along with industry experts Mike Combs, director of supply chain asset protection for The Home Depot, and John Tabor, senior vice president of supply chain for National Retail Systems (NRS), delivered an engaging presentation of industry intelligence and recommended best practices to inform and educate on supply chain protection.
The session was well-timed, given the increase in theft activity and loss within retail. With losses within the supply chain pipeline putting billions of dollars at risk every year, transportation security plays a central role in seamless supply chain operations and has a huge impact on omni-channel sales performance. The average value of a stolen shipment in-transit can be upwards of $300,000, or more, according to FreightWatch International. This powerhouse trio brought proven analysis and a holistic view of the end-to-end transportation challenges, industry solutions and the best practices that have proven to be effective domestically and internationally.
